Colombia, Peñas Blancas
Peñas Blancas is a collaborative washing station in Acevedo, Huila, founded by producers Néstor Lasso and Jhoan Vergara with a simple goal: create more opportunities for the farming communities around them. By combining shared processing infrastructure with technical expertise and transparent quality standards, Peñas Blancas helps smallholder producers unlock the full potential of their harvests while connecting them with specialty coffee buyers around the world.
This washed lot is a reflection of both the region and the people behind it. Grown between 1,700 - 1,900 metres above sea level by smallholder producers, it offers a beautifully clean and balanced cup with notes of tropical fruit, bright citrus, and delicate white tea.
