Colombia, Maria Delgado
Finca El Chocó comes from the mountains of Buesaco in Nariño, Colombia, where Maria Delgado has been producing exceptional coffee for decades. Sitting at 2,200 MASL, the combination of volcanic soils, cool mountain temperatures, and abundant sunshine creates the perfect conditions for slow cherry development and remarkable sweetness. It’s also a coffee that’s become something of a Bright Jenny tradition—we’ve looked forward to bringing Maria’s harvest back almost every year since we first discovered it.
This washed Caturra is processed using traditional methods refined through years of experience. Cherries are harvested at peak ripeness, naturally fermented in open tanks for up to five days before being washed and slowly sun-dried, creating a cup that’s beautifully clean, expressive, and effortlessly drinkable.
The cup is comforting, familiar, and quietly complex.
Expect juicy white grape acidity layered with notes of caramel apple and soft sponge cake, finishing with a delicate sweetness that keeps you coming back for another sip.
