The Estrella family has been growing coffee for generations in Cartago, but Carlos, the youngest of three brothers, decided to shake things up. With his background as a cupper and quality analyst, he led the way in cultivating unique varieties at sky-high altitudes of over 2,200 meters. Carlos also introduced fresh techniques in coffee processing that put their La Estrella farm on the map.
